How to Use Curing Compounds for Curing Pavements and Bridge Decks

Curing Compound on Concrete Surface
As per the expert's researches, sustainability becomes a major issue in recent time. It is important to develop such things which can accomplish present needs but can’t destroy the possibilities of future peoples. Like in terms of natural resources mainly it is important to either recycle and use things or make things in such a way that they can be easily use from you and to future generation as well. In construction trends are become important nowadays but most important thing in any construction is the strength and durability of structure which decides it life. Making such infrastructure which have strong base and can stand properly for decade’s is the necessity according to today’s scenario. For making such buildings curing plays an important or we can say most important role in it. It is so because if the base is cured well it can easily stand for years.

Few structures like dams or canals or highways and airports, bridges are such places which if build properly can stand for decades without any problem all what require is to follow a proper construction process which includes right and best quality material, high technologies and perfect choice of chemicals with all this you can make structures which can stand for years. Making such structures is the need of today because all the natural resources are being disappeared quickly what if we left nothing for the future generation. Because of this experts suggest to make things in such a strong way that re construction will not be require for decades only renovation and touch up and time to time maintenance will keep the structure strong and stable for long time.

As taking the above scenario it becomes more important to cure pavements and bridge decks they require more care and consideration and require different curing as per the structure. Both bridge decks and pavements requirements differ.

The workability of curing compound can be effected directly by the temperature either it rises up or going down both make an impact on the application of curing and its results same as the sir humid moisture, heat and dust also make an impact of results of curing. It has been observed that the places near sea gives not perfect result while using curing compound because the air contain a lot of humid in it which effects the working procedure of chemical. Same as with the places where temperature is low or near to freezing points are also not suitable place to use curing compounds. For using such chemicals it is necessary that the temperature should be maintained in a proper way so that it can give best results on concrete surface.

Using such chemicals can shape up your structure in a better way and additionally provides long life and durability to it as well

A Step Ahead From Traditional Curing, Curing Compound

Spreading Curing Compound
Curing, in construction it means a layer of anything which can maintain the surface temperature an protect in at least for few time period from the adverse effects of atmosphere like sunlight, dust heat, moisture, humility etc it is so because on fresh concrete what requires is the inside moisture and to maintain it curing is required. Just because natural resources are not easily available and now they are hard to access mostly preferred process for curing is through chemicals. As compared to water which can't be movable from place to place nee labors and so many extra efforts plus if you are onto water curing it is necessary to keep on doing the same for about a month to get exact results which is next to impossible for big projects. On other side the most preferable option has so many benefits which make it better from the tradition water curing like it can be remote to various laces according to need, time limit for drying up completely will be around two or three days which is far less to traditional one, easy to apply and available easily from all these benefits it has a extra ordinary feature and that is curing compounds are eco friendly they do not cause any kind of side effects to atmosphere.

The necessity of curing is because if the surfaces does not cure properly an lost their inside moisture than it becomes bit difficult for the concrete layer to survive as it leads to cracks and loose its strength permanently it effects the durability of place.

The role of curing includes forming a thin layer on the surfaces of concrete so it can be stay away from direct sunlight and other impurities which can cause moisture loss next is curing help the concrete layer to maintain its moisture inside by locking it through the above layer of curing compound. It is important to apply the chemical as properly as you can and it is better if the application repeat twice just to ensure that no space is left if any place left uncovered it will become the reason of crack age and from that small crack it will damage a huge area of concrete so it better to ensure that all parts are cover well with the chemical coating also it should be taken in mind that after curing do not leave the place for use as the chemical needs at least two to three hours to wet completely and the place will be open to use only after three days from the day of application applied. One thing which should always be taken in mind while using curing chemicals that it takes at least 6 months to remove that layer from surface before that you can't apply any kind of pain or you can't allow tiling on that surfaces this is the reason it is not recommended for small construction these chemicals are preferred only for projects such as dam, bridges, roads etc.

While as some extents it is necessary to apply chemicals in construction it is highly suggested to gain complete knowledge of it before use. It is very important to use safety tools like gloves and other covering to make sure that chemical stay away from the reach from the body of labor. Always prefer to use spaying machine while applying chemicals on surfaces which helps to spread evenly and properly all around the places and give perfect results. Curing compound is very easy to use and give good results as compared to other techniques of curing.

Major Steps and Precautions of Using Shuttering or Formwork

shuttering or formwork
There is always some pros and cons of everything so as the formwork and shuttering have. The main usage of both of them is providing enough strength to the concrete only the wet one which is placed on vertical surfaces just till the time when it gains particular amount of strength. It is necessary that these two have as much strong that they can easily bear the load of concrete mix as when the concrete is mixes with water which results it becomes high weighted. It is mandatory that these applications should be water tight if in case water leakage from concrete has been allowed through shuttering it will leads the concrete to weak and damage it which results it have very low life which affects the whole infrastructure. Usage of shuttering is quite easy on the side and it can be very firmly removed from the concrete if mould release agents are applied properly on it.

Few steps of precautions basically for RCC beams, slabs and vertical supports:
  • Wooden pillar which are used for the support should be not more than 6'' Dia and all of them should have same size and it is necessary that all are free from joints.
  • Never make required height by applying brick in the base of wood, usage of brick is allow up to three not more than that.
  • Cross bracing should do which gives better support to slabs and to beams as well.
  • The batten of wood which is supposed to be used below plate the size of it should be 5'' of height not more than that.
Precautions for beams & slabs and Beams:
  • The shuttering should be used of steel instead of bricks or plywood
  • It is necessary to keep close eye that the formwork is water tight or not.
  • Make sure that the shuttering is removed only after 28 days
  • It is necessary to watch occasionally that the concrete gain particular strength by time.
Recommended removal period of shuttering:
  • If slab is indoor than 7 days should be minimum.
  • For walls, beams, foundations and columns 48 hours are minimum.
  • If the arches are above 4.5 meter and falls between 6 meter spams 14 days should be minimum.
  • If the aches of beams are in between 6 to 9 meter it will take 21 days to remove shuttering.
  • Beams above 9 meter take at least 28 days for removing formwork.
These are the few basics which should always be taken in mind while using shuttering or any kind of formwork. Always make sure that you prefer to use steel shuttering instead of any other kind which will give you water tight ability which ensure the poured mixtures moisture inside it which will help it to retain good quality of strength.

Basic Difference Between Shuttering and Formwork

Formwork Shuttering Systems
We all are very much aware with the terms shuttering and formwork. They are very useful in construction industry but its usage is not limited to this sector only in all the manufacturing arenas shuttering is necessary and framework is also necessary is so many fields. Here we are going to discuss about the difference between formwork and shuttering.

Initially it is important to understand the basic work of both shuttering and formwork. Working arena of both is same. It is used in such process while creating molds in these concrete is poured and left until it sets properly and hardens up for the required shape. The basic use of these two is this only.

The term shuttering commonly refers for the process in which plywood’s are used to form mold, and to release these moulds further shuttering oil is applied on shuttering before placing it anywhere. These molds can be placed in such a way that it can support the entire structure mainly the fresh concrete poring for slabs etc and keep on that place until the material grab the require strength then shuttering is removed from that area.

Apart from shuttering, framework is something which is broad and basically used for the forming process in various materials. At initial level the work of shuttering and formwork seems to be similar but later the material which accomplished in both may vary which causes the difference between both. At some situations both the terms comes as came there is no difference at all and at few stages shuttering is also considered as a type of formwork.

It is necessary to know the basic difference between both the techniques because at some aspect only a special thing can work out it may be shuttering or it may be formwork what matters most knows about both the applications and it usage properly to retain best possible results. Both differ slightly but at a point this slight difference can make huge impact on the material which is going to be placed on any of them. It affects the durability and life of newly placed layer on any of them either on formwork or on shuttering both acts as mould. While in shuttering there is a need of applying oil to release the material from mould.

No matter how large or small the size of project is all needs to employ both the techniques either formwork or shuttering in projects which are normally large scale requires different kind of formwork while on other hand shuttering is used in a wide way in industry because it is very easy to use and at a time huge amount of concrete can be poured. Shuttering is something which causes costs low because normal plywood can be used in shuttering and it can be re use again and again for the same purpose. But few things which should be taken in mind that special quality of plywood should be used in shuttering or in formwork make sure that both are water resistant as almost all the concrete projects were usually performed outdoors.

A Brief Description of Different Kinds of Shuttering and its Uses

Wooden Shuttering
It is necessary to gain a deep knowledge about everything before using it and when it comes about anything which is related to construction it should delivers perfect result as it directly affects the durability of structure. Any kind of formwork or shuttering is basically or mainly needed when liquid or thick liquid is supposed to be poured on surface specially where there is no base at all. Here these shuttering and formwork act as an base which later on removed once the liquid sets up and gain required strength. So in modern or any kind of construction formwork is necessary in almost all the stages.

Both the terms either formwork or various types of shuttering oils basically used for the plywood, timber, aluminum, wooden, metal or any other kind of material which is used for providing basic support to the mixture of wet concrete till the time when it dries up or grasp the desired strength. These applications provide support to inclined, horizontal and vertical kind of surfaces and also for providing support for the casting concrete as per the required size or shape. It is also used for giving desired finish to concrete as well. While using shuttering or formwork it is necessary to use mould release oil which will help to remove them easily later.

Usually three types are shuttering which were commonly used they are:
  • Steel shuttering
  • Wooden Planks
  • Temporary Masonry Shuttering for bricks
Steel shuttering:

This type is best because of some reason as the shuttering is of steel it is water tight and can bear the load of concrete easily which is places on the shuttering. It can either be used on vertical or horizontal surfaces or on any other type of surface depend on the work requirements. It gives surface a very fine shine and finishing as well. This shuttering can be easily used as per the drawing of architecture. If further plaster is required it requires low thickness and as the shuttering is water tight the strength which concrete gains is comparatively high as well.

Wooden plank shuttering:

These type of shuttering is used due to a basic reason as it costs low it becomes very cheap for contactors and it is easily available in market as well. But these kind of shuttering give adverse affect to concrete some of the main disadvantages are mentioned below:
  • These shuttering are not water tight because the size and its thickness differ and they are usually not of same size. Due to which water flows from the cement though joints which results weaken structure.
  • The slab due to this reason does not build in line, and stay weak forever and causes damage soon.
  • Due to leakage it makes the work messy.
Temporary Masonry Shuttering for bricks:

In some scenarios few contractors prefer the usage of brick masonry for beams side and in fascia etc. It is avoided to use because it reduces the strength of concrete as it soaked the water. This types of shuttering is not preferred for usage.

Role of Curing in Construction

Curing of Concrete
We all are very much familiar with the word curing as it comes in our day to day routine. It may be related to building, lighting or to any other stuff. Here we are talking about curing of concrete. We all are very well known that concrete act as a key material in almost all types of building and various construction processes. What makes essential to cure concrete is if it does not cured in initial stage it dries up quickly and loose all the inside moisture due to which the structure strength and life will decrease and the surface will lead towards cracking and damaging.

Or in other words it is a process which is adopted widely for hardening the surfaces of concrete under hard conditions such as humidity & the temperature which is favorable to proper and cumulative settings of cement. Curing affects in a huge way on the concrete from both inside as well as from its outside surface. As it helps it to harden in a better way it also increases the durability, volume stability, strength, wear resistance, freezing, water-tightness and thawing.

No matter how perfectly you mix, placed or finished concrete without perfect curing all the efforts are useless. Now when we are clear with the concept why curing is necessary it is essential to be aware of various cuing techniques and which one is best among them.

When we are talking about building construction we all know that after making slabs and floors people use to pour water and fill that place with it just to maintain the outside temperature cool and to look moisture of concrete inside it but this technique require more time, more labor, more expense and lots of attention plus the technique is not environment friendly because it results wasting natural resource for unwanted and unnecessary reasons.

Moving towards another option for curing which sounds more reasonable, eco friendly and requires almost no attention and you don’t have to keep us the record of how many days left till you can use the surface.

That technique is called 'Curing Compound'.  There are so many varieties available in market such as oil based, PVA based, rubber based, resin based, wax based curing compound. All of them are colored which fades by time only the wax based curing compound is white in color.

It can be easily sprayed on any surface especially on cement roads, concrete pillars with the help of spraying pump it is necessary to spray this wax based white colored liquid just after it dries a bit. The wax based film breaks by passing time when the surface gets in touch with sunlight continuously.

This application saves your time and money both its better to upgrade your construction process with new chemicals which makes you work more easily as compared with your experience with old techniques. Adopt the usage of curing compound and contribute in saving natural recourses, time and money. About wax based curing compound uses, advantages, properties etc.

Technologies Play a Major Role in Construction

Technologies are changing the world so rapidly, even in an eye blink you can perform some task which were next to impossible in earlier time. Not only in the field of information technology but science has given innovative yet very superior kind of products, materials and machineries to the field of construction and with the help of such technologies the field of construction is touching new heights by every passing day. All kind of work or you can say almost all small and huge type of work in construction is now performed by machineries and chemicals with this the pathetic work of construction is now become easy and simple.

Chemicals and machineries are making new era are playing major and very important role in the field of modern construction. Such as Jcb machineries, such kinds of machines are widely used across the globe for the purpose of cutting mountains. This machine is commonly used when the construction of road is performed in hilly areas where it is necessary to cut the hill completely according to required map to make the desired road on that particular area. Jcb machines can perform the task of cutting rocky and hilly surface easily and as compared to manpower machines can perform work in a perfective manner. All what requires is a person to run that machine, it reduces the manpower also and also it consumes less time.

As some machinery which is widely used for cutting and leveling of places to make them in such a way that road of any other kind of construction can easily be performed. Same as this few machines are also available in market which are very beneficial for the construction process, such as: drilling machines, they are very useful for construction process. With the help of such kind of machines you can drill to feet’s below and perform construction easily. Next is mixture machine, it is highly recommended and very commonly used in mixing of cement sand and water together or also it is highly used for mixing and heating of bitumen to pour it on road of making bitumen roads. Also some other machines which are available for the field of construction, like spraying tool which is commonly used to spray curing compound on the newly fresh layer of concrete.

With the help of construction machines now days the process of construction becomes easy and also because of these machines and techniques innovative structures can be made across the world.

Apart from machineries and chemicals there are also such kinds of materials which are necessary and also very important for construction. Such as bricks, cement tiles etc. Among all this bricks have an important and major role in any kind of construction. To making a hard structure you need bricks to make walls, roofs and floors etc. In bricks there are various kind of varieties available as we are in the era where everything is becoming innovation more durable, strong and long lasting with the help of chemicals and other type of technologies in other words we can say that with the help of science even the bricks have now a new definition.

We can say that bricks, tiles and cement play a very important role in making buildings or any other kind of infrastructure. Due to the demand increases the materials become innovative more durable and sustainable because experts and manufacturing companies of tiles, cement and bricks are putting every possible effort for making the material innovation and durable from every possible expects. As the construction industry is demanding more perfect and durable products to make very innovative infrastructure in almost every part of world it becomes necessary to make the materials more effective in all the way. Simultaneously it also becomes necessary to make the products eco-friendly as well because of the adverse effects of construction on atmosphere.

Cement it is directly manufactured in industry and come in market and from their contractors buy these cements and uses it in the construction process. Cement is used in various ways during the manufacturing of any infrastructure. Without cement and brick nobody can ever make any kind of building or any infrastructure. Cement is the key material which gives strength to the structures. Through plaster it gives a fine and smooth finish to surface due to which it becomes ready for painting and also if any further construction is needed it gives a smooth surface to build further layer on the above portion.

Cement also helps bricks to form a binding property between them so that they form a strong more durable and long lasting wall, floor or anything. Cement is highly or we can se mainly used when it is the matter of tile fitting. When it is supposed to tiling any surface specially floors it is necessary to apply cement paste on surface before applying tile on that surface. Cement gives a very strong surface to form a grip between tile bases and cement surface with the help of which tile fix on the surface and results highly durability and long life.

In the process of construction what matters a lot are machineries and materials with the help of these two things anyone can make affordable, classic, innovative and long lasting infrastructure. With these two key products machineries and materials anyone can make any kind of building, canal, dam, bridges everything.

'Construction' an industry which is changing in rapid way or you can say it is an industry which is changing every day. Each day some tit bit or huge technology or chemicals are introducing for the field of construction. It is recommended using technologies to make you construction process easier. With the help of new kind of machines and few chemicals such as: curing compound, foaming agent etc the field of construction is touching new heights every day.

More or less what matters is progress of world and world will progress when every individual country will progress and the success story of every country depends or known with its infrastructure. So it is important to adopt every new technology according to needs and requirement of construction and make the infrastructure innovative in every possible way.

Brick by Brick Constructing a New Era

Clay Bricks
'Bricks' are such materials which plays an important role in the field of construction. Its usage is not only limited to the construction of infrastructure but it is used for making any kind of wall or dams or for flooring etc in almost all the fields and places. As bricks are used from decades in different ways, people used to make them according to their needs and convenience. Mostly little kind of bricks is commonly used in the field of construction such as: clay bricks, cement bricks & fly ash bricks. These are such kind of bricks which are highly used in the field of construction. Its usage differs by place to place.

Clay Bricks

If any construction is happening deep inside the small village's people commonly prefers to use clay bricks because the availability of clay is easy in those areas & making such bricks are easy in those areas.

How to make clay bricks: Well as the name defines it needs clay to make such kind of bricks. All what required is clay and water just mix clay with water and place it in moulds and keep it in sunlight for 5-6 days when it becomes hard remove it from moulds and keep it inside the special room where it is burning from all the sides after few time your brick is ready to use. These bricks become very strong and durable due to the heating therapy which has been performed in the end. In villages where cement bricks are not available easily, peoples their use these kinds of bricks for making small bridges, houses and for flooring also. These bricks are very strong and give long services as well. If one is comparing these bricks with cement bricks it has been proved that these bricks are far much better than cement bricks in two ways:
  1. Bricks made by clay is eco friendly and it manufacturing process required no chemical of machinery but only water and clay and in any single mean it does not affect the atmosphere so it is very eco-friendly. Due to this property experts suggested big builders to use such kind of bricks in modern construction as well but due to unavailability of clay in urban areas somehow it is an impossible task yet now.
  2. Clay bricks have cooling tendency due to which outside temperature does not affect inside temperature of building in any way.
In urban areas contractors but so many technologies and efforts to maintain the inside temperature but in rural areas due to the use of clay bricks it becomes so easy to maintain the inside temperature to less and cool. Due to these two properties clay bricks are more better than cement bricks but in terms of durability and strength both kind of bricks cement made and clay made are almost same or in few situations cement bricks have more strength and durability as compared to clay bricks. If clay bricks are heat up in proper heat after drying in sunlight than the strength and durability of clay bricks and cement bricks are almost same. But due to unavailability of materials and some other conditions in both the places other options are not working like in urban areas it is next to impossible task to use clay bricks even after knowing its benefits and properties due to lack of materials same as in rural areas it is just impossible to use cement bricks because of no sources of manufacturing such kind of bricks. So according to material availability and manufacturing comfort different kinds of bricks are using in different areas of construction in various places.

Cement Bricks
Cement Bricks

It's another type of brick which is very easy to make need no heating process and gives long life to your infrastructure and strengthens the buildings and gives durability as well. The strength of cement bricks are of 7-10 MPa which is commonly used in below mentioned applications:
  • In residential building
  • In different kinds of walls
  • In small kind of DIY jobs
  • For making dams
  • In footpath
  • For different kind of flooring
Above mentioned are just few examples where cement bricks are commonly used. Usage of cement bricks does not cling to these one's only it leads to manufacturing of canals, bridges, malls, big bungalows and in almost all kind of construction.

What makes cement bricks different from other kinds of bricks is its strength and looks and also due to one factor if you use cement bricks in making any wall or for flooring etc you need very less amount of plaster to join and cover it because the bricks are already made up of cement they need less amount of plaster to bind each other. And because the wall is made up of cement bricks it have more strength as compared to walls which are made up of normal kind of bricks also because of these bricks the life of building increases.

How to make cement bricks: It is a simple task to make cement bricks all what requires is high quality cement and water if you are making pure cement brick and if you are working on less budget you can mix good quality of cement in it also, but remember put only a particular amount of sand in cement otherwise the manufactured bricks will lose their strength and it also results breakage. According to your need and requirement mix cement and water or cement water and sand and form a fine paste avoid the formation of lump now place this fine paste in moulds before putting in it moulds don't forget to grease it with mould release oil which is commonly known as shuttering oil. After this place the mould in which you pour paste in sunlight for 3-4 days then remove it from mould and it is ready to use for different kind of modern construction process.

Advantages of using cement bricks

Using bricks which are completely made up of cement for building your house or any other infrastructure is a unique way to go. Due to its high strengthen property the building last very long.

You can make cement bricks according to your need; you can also change its size such as width, breath, height etc. General phenomena of cement bricks: weight: 2.3 kgs appox. & size is 220mm x 100mm x 70mm, its approx. quantity / pallet: 500 and strength is 7-10 MPa. As all know that cement never stops curing so because of this it increase its strength constantly.

Mold Release Oils Differ For Every Industry

Release oil or releasing agent is basically a chemical which protects the surface from bonding to other impure materials which can affect the product quality. This oil is commonly used for mold release, plastic release or tire and other product release.

Why release agents are important:
While manufacturing any kind of product like tires, plastic or cement pipes, wires etc. you have to apply a fine quality of release agent (oil) on the inner surface of mold so that the mixture you put in mold can release easily after completion of product. One another major reason is there because of which the use of mold release oil becomes very necessary- now days where everyone wants a well finished goods it's become a compulsion for manufacturers to make fine quality products which looks exactly perfect. While you use ordinary oil for mold release it leaves marks on the product surface while if you use fine quality of oil in mold surface, when you release the completed product from it, it gives a fine shine and you will find no stain on the product surface.

As every industry has something different to produce so the releasing agents used in molds are also different. For releasing of concrete products from mold different kind of releasing agents or oils are used and for rubber, steel, aluminum other kind of oil are used, so always remember never make a mistake by using same kind of oil for releasing of molds of different products.

Every industry like food, paper, plastic, rubber etc. require mold release agents for the products they manufacture. Following are some examples of different industries and how releasing agents work in these industries.

Food industry: In food industry oil is used for the separation of food from the containers. For this industry the oil used in molds should be eatable and do not cause any affect on health.

Paper industry:  In paper making industry release agents are used to give slip effect on papers.

Plastic industry: While manufacturing any kind of product which is made by plastic mold release agents are used to prevent adhesives bonding to surface of plastic.

Rubber industry: For molding of rubber silicon based agents are used because rubber can easily absorb oil, so it should be necessary to use such release agent which cannot be absorbed by rubber and act as a good release agent.

For every individual industry there are some specific needs of product so release agent should be used very carefully so that it works beneficially for the manufactured product. You can find some people in market that will convey you that same kind of oil can act as best shuttering oil  for every industry but before trusting on such commands make a analysis of products and their behavior, can you use same kind of release agent for rubber and concrete mold release obviously not. So make a good analysis of your product and use release agents according to product behavior. It will give your product a new, stain free and perfect look which will increase the demand of your product.

Chemicals and Machineries are Making New Era of Construction

Construction a term which plays a vital role in changing our life style, each and every thing from a building to mall and roads, bridges on which we daily travel are the result of good and high-tech construction and to make these constructed buildings and infrastructures best and error free in every possible way chemical contributes a lot. In previous era where time was not a hectic matter, constructer built infrastructures in years they give every possible effort to make the building strong and long lasting by curing them for months with water. But now the scenario is just opposite, contractors are always in hurry to match the dead lines of their projects. They have to complete big infrastructures like flyovers, bridges and big road projects like four lanes etc in the time spam of few months.

Is this sound weird? For this much big projects the deadline given is not more than eight-ten months or it exceeds to a year.

How can contractors give the perfect strength to these roads and bridges, building etc? Here the experts realize that it becomes necessary to take using chemicals which can help to complete the structures of construction in less time. After the use of chemical start in this industry it has been observed that the complex things become so easy and consumes very less time as compared to time taken in previous activities. Construction industry is a wide and rapidly changing sector and where perfection pays the return value of money.

From chemicals to machineries every technology in construction industry has its own unique position and it plays an important role in making any of the infrastructure life malls, residential apartments etc. or big projects like manufacturing of dam’s airports, tunnels and bridges etc, you can’t perform any of the construction process with the use of machineries and chemicals, both size and affectivity differs as per the project. Like for making building the machineries used are small like mixer for mixing the concrete and cement together or fitting machine for tile fixing etc and in huge construction projects like dam and tunnel making the machines used are heavy and giant, machines like JCB are used for digging land and making space for the structure which is supposed to be made on that place etc. Same as machineries usage of chemicals also vary from project to project, such as foaming agent- a type of chemical which form bricks that are light weighted when mix with fly ash and cement another chemical which is used in building construction in various shuttering oils which act as an releasing agent when put on sintering while making roofs of any building.

It has been clear that as the size and requirement of project changes the more and size of machineries change and the chemical choose for projects will vary according to their workability and affectivity. More or less, huge or small but construction industry needs chemical and machineries both for delivering best and high-quality results to everyone.

Why Curing is Necessary?

(Curing of Concrete) Image Source : Flickr
Curing helps to keep the moisture of concrete inside it which plays a vital role in gaining strength of fresh layer and prevent it from forming cracks.

Ways of curing:

There are commonly two major ways to cure concrete.
  1. Traditional curing
  2. Chemical curing
Traditional curing: This technique is decades older or we can say from when the cement come in use from that time this traditional curing is use to cure the fresh surface of concrete. We are familiar with the term traditional curing by the name of water curing; it is very common way to cure concrete of cement fresh layer.

Chemical curing: This technique introduced in very recent time and becomes important due to the high-tech requirements of construction. Chemical curing means  a chemical which is well-known as curing compound is spray on the fresh layer of cement or concrete after 2 hours to cure the surface from high temperature, wind, humid and dust materials so that the moist of concrete stay inside and gain the desired strength.

Why it becomes important to use chemical curing instead of traditional curing?

Well as the world is moving ahead by every passing year so as the construction industry. And as we are gaining so much comfort equipment from our high-tech societies there are few thing which are reducing rapidly and we can't use them the way we are using it in earlier time. The major ones are natural resources, due to global warming and some other atmospheric issues we can’t use plenty and plenty of water just for curing. Water is a natural resource and we can’t waste it just by putting gallons of water for curing our fresh layered concrete surfaces. By taking this situation in mind scientists make curing compound which did the same job as water did for curing and it doesn’t waste any natural resource neither it affects the atmospheric layer at all. And it just form a fine white layer on the surface which prevent the concrete from heat and other damages which caused by atmosphere.

How to use curing compound

Using curing compound doesn't need that you have an expert of using it, all you need is to have a bit and exact knowledge of how to use these chemicals to gain desired results.

Take curing compound; don't dilute it with water or any other liquid. Once the concrete layer settles down, normally it takes about 3-4 hours (Time will vary according to atmospheric conditions). It is very important that the surface of concrete is not dry it should damp. Because due to dry surfaces it prevent to form correct film and leads to absorption of curing compound, which requires more and more curing compound to form a enough layer on surface and it causes difficulty in removal also. When you are sure that the surface is in its best condition to apply curing on it, spray curing compound on the surface with the help of spray nozzle. Make sure that the nozzle is away from the concrete surface about 450mm and the pressure of pump should keep up in a frequent way so that it results a fine and even spay over the surface. Repeat the spraying process twice so that no place can leave dry. When curing application is applied on surface there is no further need of any application of material needed.

It is compulsory, not to disturb the surface until it gain a sufficient amount of strength.

Take care of applied film and don’t open the surface for walking before the chemical dries completely.

Areas of Application

You can use this chemical on any surface like plaster/concrete where curing is required.
  • Decks of bridges
  • Dams and canals
  • Towers
  • Walls and rams
  • Highways
  • Industrial and hospitals floor
  • Runways
  • RCC sections
How much time curing takes to remove completely?

If you are planned to place another layer or want to apply tile or stone on the concrete surface where you applied chemical for curing then it is very important to remove each part of chemical before lying of further layer on that surface.

This is because curing compound is just like a thin-film which lied just above the surface of concrete layer and due to this reason it is able to lock the moisture of concrete inside the layer, but this is the adverse part as well because it causes no connection between concrete surface and the material which supposed to applied on the layer and due to which the tile stone or paint can't hold the surface which results either they cannot find any grip and unable to apply or it they find a bit grip after sometime they will lose it the leave the surface.

So remove the curing layer before applying anything on surface. Avoid usage of acid for removing the film instead of it prefers the use of detergent for removing process. Once the film removes completely now the surface is ready for your further use you can either apply paint on it or fix stones or anything else. But make sure that the thin-film removes completely there is a very simple step for checking the status of surface that either it is free from curing chemical or not just pour a little amount of water on the surface if water absorbs then there is no chemical present on surface but if water remains on surface then you have to clean the surface again.

Features and benefits of using curing compounds
  • If curing compound applied as per direction it forms a thin layer which keeps the moisture inside concrete.
  • It reduces the temperature of surface and protects it from sunlight and dust.
  • Reduces possibility cracking which normally caused due to moisture loss.
  • It is a non flammable and non toxic chemical
  • It doesn’t cause any harm to atmosphere. Rapid film formation
Conclusion

This chemical is beneficial and easy to use and as per today's requirement of construction and nature it is the best option for curing.

How Mould Release Agents Works

In recent time manufacturing of everything is taking place through machineries from huge pipes to small bolts and nuts almost everything. Different techniques has been introduced in this field for manufacturing various kind of things as everything has its unique quality and it requires different atmospheric condition to settle down from liquid to a strong structure. There are a lot of process perform in between a raw material to complete structure of anything like pipe, cement window structure or anything else.

Very first step you need to do is make a mixture of desired material from which you suppose to make a structure of any shape like pole or anything, put the mixture in mould. Moulds are different so pick one according to your need; first apply mould release agent inside the mould. Make sure that the inside surface of mould where you suppose to apply oil is clean free from dust and previous materials as it directly effects the shape of your new pipe. After applying the oil put the mixture in mould, there are various technique present to perform this process one common among them for manufacturing pipe is rotation of downside wheels on which the mould is placed.

This will help to place the mixture evenly on the walls of mould, and then leave it for some time. Consumption of time required settling down and formation of hard and strong structure vary from place to place as the atmospheric conditions effect the results. Once the mixture gain required strength remove it from mould your pipe is ready to sell or for your personal use.

Why mould release agent is necessary:

Answer of this question can be understandable through an example: Commonly we all make cake in our home what we usually did collect all the raw materials mix them together in form of batter and place it in microwave container before putting the batter in that container we apply butter or something that is sticky which stay away the batter form the upper surface of container. The reason to put this greasy thing; it make easier to release the resulted content after heating. Shuttering oil perform the exact work for different structures that is related to process of manufacturing of anything.

How to use:

Mould release oil Manufacturer suggest to clean the surface of mould completely and put mould release agent according to product need like for pipes and other structure that are made up with the help of cement, concrete or sand required different type of release agent whether rubber pipes required different kind of releasing agent due to absorption nature of rubber it is very important to choose release agent according to material’s nature then only it works in a beneficial way for manufacturing process.

There are numbers of Shuttering oil manufacturers in India you can find mould release agent in their factories or outlets before buying ask the manufacturer to suggest the oil according to your material.

Introduction of Various Shuttering Oils and its Different Use

Mould release agents, they are basically provide a quick, easy and very clean stripping of shutter, mould and form. And it also ensures about the good and high quality of concrete and due to it the concrete becomes fair faced and stain free as well. The product (shuttering oil) is capable in working on different platforms like wood, steel, plastics and also on aluminium formwork etc. There is variety of mould oils available all across the globe, which cover almost all the major applications and it also, ensures about the maximum satisfaction of user.

Some common and most famous, beneficial shuttering oils are:
  • (DSO) it's abbreviated of De-shuttering oil: - This kind of oil can be diluted by water it is a shuttering agent or you can called it mould release agent as well. The diluting ratios of this will be 1:3 to 1:5.
  • (DSOE) it's abbreviated of De-shuttering oil emulsion: - These kinds of oil need no dilution it is ready to use kind of material. Water dilution is not required in such type of oils.
  • (DSOC) it's an abbreviated of De shuttering oil concentrate: - It is water dilute-able shuttering oil or we can say it is mould release agent. This oil can be diluted with the ratio of 1:5.
  • Mould release agent or (MRA ALU):- This oil can be used for aluminium shuttering or formwork of aluminium systems.
  • Mould release agent or (MRA MC):- It can be used for block machines of concrete or brick as mould release.
  • Mould release agent or (MRACLC):- This kind of oil can use for bricks and CLC blocks.
  • Mould release Agent or (MRA CP):- This is that kind of mould release agent which is ready to use kind of product which can be easily used for Pipes, sleepers and poles etc.
  • Mould release agent or (MRA RM):- Commonly there are two different types of rubber mould release agent they are: Silicone based and Silicone emulsion.
Mould release oil manufacturer tells that silicone is that type of mould release chemicals which will not damage the moulds of rubber, neither directly or indirectly. This kind of oil can be used in paver blocks, Door frames and also in rubber moulded products of concrete.

There are various shuttering oil manufacturers in India and mould release agent, they are manufacturing these oils and mould release for different kind of industrial use. For picking the best according to your need you have to gain thorough knowledge of different kinds of oil as some manufacturers are also supplying worst quality of used vehicle oil to their clients in the name of mould release oil, so it is very important to know exactly about the best quality of shuttering oil so you can receive value product in return of your harder money.
